About this role
Develop and maintain open source GPU drivers for the Linux ecosystem, working directly with Vulkan, Mesa, and the kernel DRM subsystem. This role involves debugging real hardware, contributing upstream code that reaches millions of users, and collaborating with experienced graphics engineers on technically challenging problems.
What you'll do
- Build and optimize open source graphics drivers for Linux systems
- Debug GPU hardware behavior and solve complex technical issues
- Contribute code upstream to Mesa and the Linux DRM subsystem
- Read and interpret GPU specifications and kernel internals
- Collaborate with graphics engineers on the Vulkan driver stack
- Support the Linux graphics community with code that reaches major distributions
