About this role

Column is seeking a Customer Engineer to support fintech clients in implementing banking APIs and solutions. This technical role bridges engineering, product, and customer success, requiring deep understanding of Column's technology stack and the ability to drive customer implementations while gathering product feedback.

What you'll do

  • Support customer technical relationships across pre-sales, implementation, onboarding, and ongoing support
  • Assist with implementation and delivery of strategic cross-functional projects
  • Build internal tooling and processes using AI to improve operational efficiency
  • Collect, organize, and synthesize product feedback to support requirement documentation
  • Manage expectations between engineering team and customers regarding roadmap priorities
  • Ensure compliance with banking policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

What they're looking for

  • Technical aptitude with ability to learn JavaScript or Python
  • SQL or willingness to learn SQL
  • Customer-facing communication and relationship management
  • Problem-solving and analytical thinking
  • Written and verbal communication
  • Familiarity with financial services (helpful but not required)
  • Cross-functional collaboration
  • Ability to work with APIs and technical documentation
