About this role

Commvault seeks a Commercial Sales Engineer in San Francisco to provide technical pre-sales support for current and prospective clients. You'll act as a trusted technical advisor, translating customer business needs into solution requirements, leading product demonstrations and proof-of-concepts, and driving complex sales opportunities while mentoring team members.

What you'll do

  • Develop territory plans and account strategies; identify and pursue new opportunities within assigned territory
  • Engage senior IT leadership to qualify technical, financial, and business requirements that Commvault solutions can address
  • Create and present technical business cases to C-level executives and technical decision makers
  • Coordinate and deliver product demonstrations, pilots, and proof-of-concept engagements
  • Build relationships with internal departments and external partners to support sales campaigns and customer success
  • Maintain technical expertise through continuous learning, certifications, and market research
