Commvault seeks a Strategic SaaS Sales Engineer to drive pre-sales engagement for cyber resilience cloud solutions across the USA West region. This remote technical sales role involves partnering with field teams to qualify opportunities, demonstrate product value to senior IT leaders, and establish market expertise in cloud and SaaS protection technologies.
What you'll do
- Serve as regional SaaS subject matter expert supporting sales teams and developing territory/account strategies
- Engage directly with senior IT leadership to identify technical, financial, and business challenges addressable by SaaS solutions
- Conduct discovery conversations and deliver technical demonstrations, POCs, and presentations to prospects
- Act as product evangelist at industry events and represent Commvault's cyber resilience solutions to partners
- Build cross-functional relationships with internal teams to ensure customer success and campaign execution
- Document customer feedback and market intelligence for Product Management and Sales leadership

- Technical pre-sales and solution engineering (5+ years)
- Cloud platforms expertise (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI)
- SaaS and subscription business model knowledge
- Data protection, disaster recovery, and cyber resilience concepts
- Competitive landscape analysis (Druva, Veeam, Cohesity, Rubrik)
- Customer discovery and consultative selling
- Technical presentations and proof-of-concept delivery
- Salesforce.com documentation and CRM management
