QA Test Engineer (6 Month Contract Role)

About this role

CompassX seeks a QA Test Engineer for a 6-month remote contract supporting a Quick Service Restaurant client. You'll own quality assurance for modern, distributed applications, building automated validation frameworks using GraphQL and Playwright while working CST hours.

What you'll do

• Design and execute functional test cases for cross-service applications
• Build and maintain automated validation frameworks using Playwright
• Test modern architectures including GraphQL APIs and Pub/Sub (MQTT) systems
• Identify and document failures across distributed software components
• Collaborate with client engineering teams on quality assurance strategy
• Explore AI-enhanced testing tools to improve deployment velocity
