Chief Engineer (Luxury Residences)

About this role

Lead engineering operations for a luxury high-rise residential building in Reston, VA, overseeing all building systems, a technical team, and capital projects while delivering five-star service and maintaining Class A standards. This role requires extensive experience in complex building systems, luxury property operations, and leadership to ensure seamless resident experience and asset preservation.

What you'll do

• Oversee operation and maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, elevator, and building automation systems
• Lead and mentor engineering team while maintaining 24/7 coverage and service-first culture
• Develop and execute capital improvement plans for system upgrades and facility enhancements
• Manage engineering operating and capital budgets while identifying cost-saving opportunities
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure luxury-level craftsmanship and minimal resident disruption
• Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and life safety system testing
