Design Engineer
About this role
Confido seeks a Design Engineer to own product surface area across a complex CPG operating system covering demand planning, finance, and operations. You'll shape roadmaps, prototype with customers, and ship polished work alongside engineering in a fast-moving NYC-based startup.
What you'll do
- Define and influence product and feature roadmap strategy alongside leadership
- Build and validate prototypes directly with customers to inform feature development
- Partner closely with engineering and product to design, prototype, and ship features rapidly
- Refine interaction details and workflows to make complex operator tools intuitive
- Contribute validated design patterns into the design system via code
- Execute under constraints, balancing scrappy speed with design quality

- Front-end development and prototyping ability
- AI-assisted design tools (Cursor, Claude Code)
- Complex systems and workflow design thinking
- Visual design, motion, and interaction design

- Cross-functional communication and influence
- Financial or enterprise domain familiarity
