Software Engineer, AI

About this role

Convex is hiring a Software Engineer, AI to help build the best platform for developing and deploying agentic applications. You'll work across APIs, frameworks, and integrations while collaborating with a world-class team of engineers who've built some of the world's largest backends, with a focus on simplicity, strong architecture, and developer experience.

What you'll do

• Develop and improve APIs, plugins, and AI framework integrations for agentic app development
• Identify gaps in developer experience by staying close to how customers build with Convex
• Prioritize and own projects in collaboration with leadership and engineering teams
• Demonstrate Convex's capabilities through demos, examples, and direct customer engagement
• Write production-quality code at the intersection of AI and application development
• Contribute across the full stack without being confined to a single layer

• Developer-facing product and API design
