Software Engineer, API Platform

About this role

Convex seeks an experienced TypeScript developer to design and build the next generation of their backend platform's client APIs, libraries, and sync protocols. You'll shape how modern developers interact with a full-stack app platform, focusing on elegant API design and developer experience in an AI-driven development era.

What you'll do

• Design and maintain client libraries, sync protocols, and query APIs for the Convex platform
• Support new frameworks and evaluate emerging technologies in app development
• Develop scalable abstractions that remain simple throughout a project's lifetime
• Prioritize projects in collaboration with engineering leadership and CTO
• Establish design guidelines and best practices as the team scales
• Write high-quality client library code
