About this role

Cowboy Space Corp. is seeking a Powerpack Engineer Level I to contribute to the development of space-based solar energy infrastructure. This hands-on role involves designing and analyzing turbopump components, collaborating with machinists and technicians, and supporting testing and troubleshooting efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering foundation and experience seeing designs through to physical hardware.

What you'll do

  • Design turbopump components with CAD and engineering drawings.
  • Perform analysis using hand calculations and FEA.
  • Collaborate with machinists and technicians on the shop floor.
  • Support component and engine testing.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and implement design changes.
  • Maintain configuration records for parts.
