About this role

Cowboy Space Corp. is seeking a skilled Powerpack Engineer Level III to own the design and performance of critical turbopump components for their revolutionary space-based solar energy infrastructure. This role involves full hardware lifecycle ownership, from initial concept through hot fire testing and ultimately, flight. You will be instrumental in ensuring designs meet rigorous requirements and driving solutions through the entire build and test process.

What you'll do

  • Own the mechanical design of turbopump components.
  • Integrate constraints from various engineering disciplines into coherent designs.
  • Control component configuration and pedigree throughout build, test, and refurbishment.
  • Drive hardware through manufacturing and assembly processes.
  • Develop and execute verification plans, including analysis and physical testing.
  • Troubleshoot anomalies and implement design improvements.
