Process Development Engineer (Manufacturing)

About this role

DIS-TRAN Steel seeks a hands-on Process Development Engineer to design, test, and implement manufacturing processes in their Pineville, Louisiana steel facility. You'll collaborate directly with operations and fabrication teams to develop new processes, optimize existing workflows, and scale pilot innovations into full production while improving throughput, quality, and safety.

What you'll do

• Design and test new manufacturing processes on the shop floor
• Collaborate with operations, welding, fabrication, and equipment teams
• Improve existing processes and identify efficiency opportunities
• Scale pilot trials to full-scale production implementation
• Drive improvements in throughput, quality, and safety metrics
• Solve real-world manufacturing challenges in a heavy steel environment
