About this role
Crusoe seeks a Software Engineer II to lead cloud storage infrastructure development, building high-performance and scalable distributed storage solutions. You'll collaborate across the engineering stack—from bare metal to user-facing APIs—to drive innovation in storage technology for AI infrastructure.
What you'll do
- Develop and deliver sustainable software for cloud storage features, from design documentation to production rollout
- Participate in architecture discussions, design reviews, and code reviews across the storage stack
- Build and operate large-scale, distributed storage infrastructure with redundancy, replication, encryption, and fault tolerance
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define and execute roadmap features
- Champion cross-team initiatives including tech talks, open source development, and knowledge sharing
- Qualify and rollout software across infrastructure layers
