Field Engineer, Life Sciences
About this role
Cursor is hiring a Field Engineer to serve as the technical liaison between the company and enterprise Life Sciences customers evaluating their AI-powered coding platform. You'll own technical discovery, proof-of-concepts, and customer expansion while partnering with Sales, Product, and Engineering to demonstrate value and drive adoption in research-heavy, regulated environments.
What you'll do
- Lead technical discovery, product demonstrations, and proofs of concept with prospective Life Sciences customers
- Build relationships across engineering, scientific computing, R&D, and IT leadership at target accounts
- Scope solutions and validate customer use cases in complex, research-heavy, and regulated environments
- Deliver technical presentations, workshops, and whiteboard sessions to scientific and commercial audiences
- Act as internal customer advocate with Product and Engineering teams to influence roadmap
- Coordinate handoff to post-sales teams and ensure successful customer onboarding
