Software Engineer - Software Infrastructure (Cybersecurity)
About this role
CX2 seeks an experienced Software Infrastructure Engineer to design and secure edge and hybrid cloud infrastructure for defense spectrum systems. You'll own end-to-end security across provisioning, secrets management, and hardening in disconnected environments while ensuring DoD/IC compliance.
What you'll do
- Design and harden containerized infrastructure across edge compute and cloud environments with threat modeling and vulnerability management
- Build automated provisioning and configuration management frameworks using tools like Ansible and Terraform for hardened baselines
- Own secrets lifecycle management including issuance, rotation, and revocation across disconnected fleets
- Optimize infrastructure for resource-constrained and air-gapped environments with degraded network conditions
- Implement DoD and Intelligence Community security controls and accreditation standards
- Lead security reviews and evaluate new tools to maximize system security while protecting developer velocity
