Database Engineer

About this role

Dark Wolf seeks an experienced Database Engineer for onsite work at Offutt Air Force Base in Omaha, NE. This role involves managing Oracle database systems, performing system engineering support across the full lifecycle, and ensuring compliance with DoD standards and security requirements.

What you'll do

• Install, configure, maintain, and optimize Oracle databases for performance, security, and availability
• Design database schemas, monitor health, and manage backups and recovery operations
• Troubleshoot database issues, manage user access, and optimize queries
• Provide full lifecycle systems and software engineering support including design, testing, and deployment
• Conduct technical assessments and support security evaluations throughout the program lifecycle
• Coordinate test events and develop program documentation
