About this role
Datadog seeks an Enterprise Sales Engineer to drive technical sales in the Rockies region by conducting product demonstrations, managing customer evaluations, and closing complex deals. You'll bridge the sales and technical teams, educating customers on observability solutions while gathering competitive and product feedback.
What you'll do
- Deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations to enterprise customers
- Manage customer trial phases and technical evaluations (POVs) from start to close
- Partner with sales teams to articulate Datadog's value proposition and strategy
- Close complex opportunities through competitive knowledge and technical credibility
- Maintain CRM records with customer feedback and competitive insights
- Communicate product feedback and market intelligence to internal business and technical teams
What they're looking for
- Sales engineering or DevOps engineering experience (3+ years)
- Programming/scripting in Java, Python, Ruby, Go, Node.js, PHP, or .NET
- Technical communication and presentation abilities
- Observability and monitoring knowledge
- CRM proficiency
- Customer evaluation planning and execution
