Systems Engineer 3, Technical Solutions (US-East)

About this role

Join Datadog's Technical Solutions Operations team to architect and maintain enterprise platforms serving 1,200+ technical experts. You'll own systems end-to-end—from understanding business needs to designing solutions through configuration, integration, or custom development—while leveraging AI to drive efficiency and impact.

What you'll do

• Own the full lifecycle of enterprise platforms (Zendesk, Jira, Confluence, custom tools) used by Technical Solutions
• Design and implement solutions combining configuration, integration, automation, and custom code to solve business problems
• Build AI-powered features and automations that scale effectiveness across large technical teams
• Contribute to Datadog's main codebase for TS-specific features like support tooling and in-app experiences
• Monitor, maintain, and iterate on production systems while diagnosing and resolving issues
• Partner with TS leadership to identify bottlenecks and engineer practical, adoptable fixes

What they're looking for

• Enterprise platform administration (Salesforce, Zendesk, Jira, or similar)
• Python, Go, or JavaScript/TypeScript development
• Full-stack engineering (backend services, APIs, frontends, CI/CD pipelines)
• AI coding tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude) and AI feature development (LLMs, embeddings, RAG, agents)
• Systems thinking and integration design across multiple platforms
• Large codebase collaboration with established engineering practices
• Production software and data pipeline experience
