About this role
Datalab is seeking a Founding Engineer to champion and expand their suite of open-source tools, including Chandra, Surya, Marker, PDFText, and Lift. This role combines hands-on development with community engagement, requiring the ability to create compelling technical content and advocate for the platform within the developer ecosystem. You'll be instrumental in shaping the future of these projects and fostering a thriving community around them.
What you'll do
- Develop and maintain open-source repositories (Chandra, Surya, Marker, Lift, and SDK).
- Build demos, benchmarks, and example applications showcasing capabilities.
- Create technical content (blogs, tutorials, documentation) to onboard and educate developers.
- Gather developer feedback and communicate it to product and engineering.
- Engage with and grow the developer community across various platforms.
