AVEVA PI System Engineer, on-site (OSIsoft PI)

About this role

Operations Technical Support Engineer for NAVFAC's Smart Grid program at Naval Base Kitsap-Bangor, managing AVEVA PI System infrastructure and utility data flow. The role involves system administration, requirement gathering, and supporting migration from on-premises to Azure Government Cloud, with occasional travel up to 20% annually.

What you'll do

• Provide operational support and maintenance for high-availability PI systems
• Document PI system administration tasks, procedures, and technical solutions
• Collect, refine, and document customer requirements for project delivery
• Resolve complex technical issues requiring sound judgment and independent action
• Manage integration of AMI meters and building automation systems into PI Asset Framework
• Support system transition from on-premises to Azure Government Cloud environment

What they're looking for

• AVEVA PI System administration (Data Archive, Asset Framework, Asset Analytics, PI Vision)
• OSIsoft or equivalent data historian platform experience
• Server/OS maintenance and patching
• Active Directory and security software management
• Network architecture, firewalls, and OT-IT segmentation
• Microsoft Azure cloud administration
• Scripting languages (PowerShell, C#, Python)
• Building automation systems and AMI meter integration
