About this role
Deepgram seeks a Billing & Analytics Engineer to build and maintain the financial backbone systems that convert API usage into accurate invoices, customer-facing analytics, and revenue reporting. You'll own the complete billing pipeline from event ingestion through invoicing, while developing self-service customer interfaces and internal dashboards that support product-led growth.
What you'll do
- Design and operate usage event ingestion, validation, and processing pipelines with sub-second reliability and exactly-once semantics for billing accuracy
- Build aggregation layers that summarize raw usage events by customer, product, time window, and pricing dimension
- Integrate with usage-based billing platforms (M3ter, Metronome) to implement rating, plan management, and invoice generation
- Develop customer-facing billing dashboards and self-service flows within the Deepgram Console for usage visibility and plan management
- Manage API key, token, and entitlement systems that enforce feature access based on customer plans and billing status
- Create internal analytics pipelines and reconciliation systems that surface usage trends, revenue metrics, and detect billing anomalies
