Software Engineer, Voice Agents / AI - Deepgram for Restaurants

About this role

Deepgram seeks a backend software engineer to build scalable systems powering voice AI ordering agents for restaurants. You'll develop production infrastructure integrating speech recognition, LLMs, and restaurant software while optimizing AI pipelines for noisy environments and complex customer requests.

What you'll do

• Design and maintain scalable backend systems for automated order-taking platform
• Integrate backend with ML models, voice AI pipelines, and client hardware devices
• Build and maintain integrations with POS, loyalty, payment, and customer data platforms
• Monitor and optimize production system performance in real-world environments
• Implement best practices in system design, code quality, testing, and security
• Run experiments to validate product impact and drive continuous improvement
