What you'll do

  • Design and maintain ETL/ELT data workflows with emphasis on data quality and secure handling of sensitive information across AWS and on-premises environments
  • Deploy and operate data streaming technologies like Kafka and Kinesis on Kubernetes using declarative infrastructure definitions
  • Architect reliable and scalable data layer systems with backup, recovery, and monitoring strategies
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and scaling using Terraform while collaborating with platform and security teams
  • Ensure compliance with DoD regulations and industry security standards for data layer systems
  • Stay current with emerging technologies in containerization, Kubernetes, and data engineering
