About this role
Join a U.S. Navy contractor team as a Platform Engineer supporting the Certificate to Ship program, blending DevOps and application security expertise. You'll architect and maintain cloud-native platforms while mentoring engineers and collaborating across teams in a remote environment with 10-25% travel.
What you'll do
- Bridge applications and Navy platform environments, advocating best practices between development and platform teams
- Design and implement infrastructure-as-code solutions and manage Kubernetes cluster deployments across distributions
- Solve complex technical problems spanning multiple domains with expertise in pipelines, GitOps, or similar technologies
- Apply security automation and vulnerability remediation in cloud-native deployments
- Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and technical pairing
- Contribute to strategic planning that aligns technology with mission objectives
