Platform Engineer

Join a government contractor's Navy Delivery team as a Platform Engineer, bridging custom and commercial applications with secure, scalable infrastructure. This remote role blends DevOps and platform security expertise, requiring U.S. citizenship and the ability to guide teams through complex, multi-domain technical challenges while advancing mission-critical systems.

What you'll do

• Act as liaison between application teams and Navy platform environments, advocating best practices and facilitating communication
• Design and implement infrastructure-as-code solutions and maintain Kubernetes clusters across multiple distributions
• Identify innovative solutions to complex technical problems spanning multiple knowledge domains
• Contribute to strategic planning that aligns technology advancements with mission objectives
• Apply security automation, vulnerability remediation, and secure coding practices to cloud-native deployments
• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and collaborative pairing

• Kubernetes and container orchestration (EKS, RKE2)
• Infrastructure-as-Code and GitOps practices
• Cloud platforms (AWS, Tofu)
• Programming languages (Go preferred)
• Linux/Unix systems administration
