Platform Engineer
About this role
Defense Unicorns seeks a Platform Engineer to deploy and maintain UDS on secure bare-metal infrastructure. You'll bridge application teams and platform operations, ensuring reliability, security, and scalability while supporting Kubernetes clusters, GPU compute, and infrastructure-as-code practices in a government contracting environment.
What you'll do
- Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot UDS and Kubernetes-based platform services in bare-metal environments
- Support bare-metal infrastructure architecture including GPU compute, storage, and networking components
- Develop and manage infrastructure-as-code solutions for consistent, repeatable deployments
- Support secure software delivery pipelines including container images, registries, and deployment artifacts
- Collaborate with mission stakeholders and partner teams to identify technical requirements and resolve challenges
- Manage Kubernetes cluster operations, workload deployment, and platform troubleshooting
