Network Escalations Engineer

About this role

Senior technical escalation engineer needed to handle complex networking, security, and WAN issues for enterprise customers. You'll lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis while mentoring junior engineers and driving operational improvements for an award-winning Australian managed services provider.

What you'll do

• Serve as primary escalation point for complex network, security, wireless, and WAN incidents
• Lead advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem management activities
• Manage high-risk changes, upgrades, and service restoration efforts
• Mentor Level 2 Engineers and provide technical guidance to the team
• Develop technical standards, documentation, and knowledge resources
• Contribute to automation, observability, and continuous improvement initiatives

• Fortinet Security Fabric expertise
• Enterprise routing, switching, and wireless networking
• BGP, OSPF, MPLS, WAN, and SD-WAN technologies
• Network security architecture and SASE solutions
• ITIL incident and change management
• Root cause analysis and risk assessment
• Python, PowerShell, or API automation
• Monitoring and observability platforms
