Certification Engineer

About this role

Certification Engineer needed to support aerospace software certification activities in Everett, WA. This role combines embedded software analysis with DO-178B/C compliance documentation and FAA/EASA regulatory support, transitioning to remote work after an initial onsite month.

What you'll do

• Analyze embedded software including memory management, object code, watchdog timers, and dead code detection
• Develop and execute software testing strategies covering unit, integration, and structural coverage analysis
• Prepare and review DO-178B/C certification documentation including Software Accomplishment Summaries and development plans
• Conduct worst-case execution time (WCET) analysis and hardware-software partitioning reviews
• Support FAA/EASA authority interactions and Designated Engineering Representative (DER) audit processes
• Collaborate on Stage of Involvement (SOI1–SOI4) audits and regulatory compliance validation
