About this role

Divergent seeks an Additive Manufacturing Equipment Engineer II to support the transition of next-generation Laser Powder Bed Fusion production equipment from development into high-volume manufacturing across multiple facilities. You will troubleshoot equipment issues, drive reliability improvements, and standardize solutions across the fleet while working closely with senior engineers and operations teams.

What you'll do

  • Support transition of newly developed production equipment from qualification into sustained manufacturing operations
  • Drive improvements in equipment reliability, throughput, yield, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE)
  • Troubleshoot equipment problems at the machine level and develop solutions scalable across the fleet
  • Work cross-functionally with equipment engineering, manufacturing, quality, reliability, and operations teams
  • Develop and improve standard work and engineering standards based on machine-level insights
  • Provide technical support and guidance as manufacturing footprint expands to multiple factories
