About this role

Divergent seeks an Automation Engineer to support operations of robotic manufacturing systems across assembly, inspection, and processing lines. You'll design robotic simulations, develop programs for industrial robots, troubleshoot automation systems, and collaborate across teams to optimize production processes for automotive, aerospace, and defense applications.

What you'll do

  • Create simulation studies using Process Simulate on Teamcenter (Tecnomatix) for robotic work centers
  • Program and troubleshoot industrial six-axis robots (KUKA, ABB, FANUC, Yaskawa) to perform assembly and processing tasks
  • Generate optimal assembly sequences, perform reach/access studies, and validate interference-free robot motions
  • Maintain kinematic libraries and manufacturing data for automated work centers
  • Analyze system data to identify process improvements and recommend solutions
  • Document automation systems and train team members on equipment operation and maintenance
