Electrical Engineer - Consumer Electronics
About this role
DoorDash Labs seeks a Senior/Staff Electrical Engineer to design and deliver production-grade electrical systems for consumer and enterprise hardware platforms. You'll own the full lifecycle from concept through manufacturing, working on mixed-signal board design, power systems, wireless integration, and high-volume product development across tablets, POS systems, and connected devices.
What you'll do
- Architect and implement electrical subsystems including power management, battery systems, DC/DC converters, and power distribution
- Design digital and mixed-signal boards with application processors, MCUs, high-speed interfaces, and sensor integration
- Develop wireless systems (WiFi, BLE, LTE) with antennas and EMI/EMC-conscious layout
- Lead board bring-up, validation, troubleshooting, and certification through production handoff
- Collaborate with mechanical, firmware, systems, and operations teams on seamless hardware integration
- Drive design for reliability, manufacturability, and cost optimization across EVT, DVT, and PVT phases
