Electrical Engineer - DoorDash Air
About this role
DoorDash Air is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design critical electrical subsystems for drone delivery aircraft and ground infrastructure. You'll own end-to-end electrical design for mechatronic systems that will be deployed in the field within a year, collaborating across firmware, mechanical, and manufacturing teams.
What you'll do
- Design electrical subsystems and power electronics for aircraft and ground systems from concept through deployment
- Develop high-reliability, high-power-density converters and fault-tolerant control electronics
- Build and test prototypes to evaluate sensors, actuators, and control strategies in lab environments
- Debug complex systems and diagnose issues related to signal integrity, EMI, hardware design, and firmware integration
- Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, systems, supply chain, and manufacturing teams on cross-functional projects
- Ensure electrical designs meet reliability and performance requirements for field operation
