Software Engineer, Fullstack

About this role

Join DoorDash Labs as a Fullstack Software Engineer to build and maintain end-to-end web applications using React and Node.js. You'll design scalable backend services and APIs while developing internal tools and merchant-facing products that support DoorDash's growth.

What you'll do

• Develop full-stack web applications from React frontends to backend services and APIs
• Design and architect backend services using REST/gRPC protocols for internal and merchant-facing products
• Prototype and build internal web applications for new product use cases
• Write well-tested, maintainable code and define tech stack architecture across frontend and backend
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product and design teams on scalable web solutions
• Contribute to adjacent disciplines like data analysis when applicable

• React/Redux or similar frameworks
• Node.js and Express server development
• REST API design and backend architecture
• HTML5, CSS3, and vanilla JavaScript
• PostgreSQL and relational database design
• Unit and integration testing
• HTTP, REST, and gRPC protocols
• Documentation and code quality practices
