Chief Engineer

About this role

Echodyne is seeking a Chief Engineer to lead the technical vision and development of next-generation solid-state radar products. You'll direct a multidisciplinary engineering team in designing advanced radar systems that integrate metamaterial technology with complex hardware and software subsystems.

What you'll do

• Define and drive technical vision for next-generation radar products
• Lead design, development, and sustainment of advanced radar systems
• Guide concurrent development efforts across multidisciplinary teams
• Translate product requirements into robust system architectures
• Ensure seamless integration and performance across all subsystems
• Mentor engineering teams and foster innovation culture

• System architecture definition and decomposition
• Leadership of multidisciplinary engineering teams
• RF, analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuit design
• Embedded firmware and software development
• Mechanical design and thermal management
• Design for Excellence and continuous improvement methodologies
• Technical risk assessment and mitigation
• FMCW or Pulse-Doppler radar systems (desired)
