About this role

Elicit is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to build and scale its AI research platform, ensuring reliability, security, and cost-efficiency as it serves a growing enterprise customer base. This role involves managing cloud infrastructure (AWS and GCP), automating deployments with Terraform and Kubernetes, and strengthening observability and security practices. You'll be instrumental in shaping the future of Elicit's infrastructure and its ability to support high-stakes research decisions.

What you'll do

  • Manage cloud infrastructure across AWS and GCP, including Kubernetes, networking, and databases.
  • Scale single-tenant deployments and create a repeatable, low-overhead private cloud operation.
  • Develop observability and incident response practices with proactive monitoring and structured post-mortems.
  • Drive compliance and security operations, including SOC 2 and EU Cyber Resilience adherence.
  • Optimize infrastructure cost and capacity across various providers (AWS, CoreWeave, Parasail).
  • Improve developer experience through CI/CD pipeline enhancements and local development tooling.
