Software Engineer - 2027 Interns

About this role

Ellipsis Labs, a venture-backed DeFi startup, is hiring software engineering interns for summer 2027 to build features across their trading and market-making platforms on Solana. You'll own end-to-end projects spanning frontend, backend, infrastructure, or on-chain development while working with a fast-moving team.

What you'll do

• Build product features and platform components across the full stack based on skills and interests
• Own scoped projects from problem definition through design, implementation, testing, and deployment
• Collaborate with design and engineering teams to deliver fast, reliable, and secure experiences
• Improve performance, reliability, and observability of systems
• Write clear tests and documentation for code
• Monitor and maintain deployed solutions

What they're looking for

• Software development in TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, Rust, Java, or C/C++
• Data structures, algorithms, and systems thinking
• Git version control and debugging
• Full-stack web development (React preferred)
• Backend APIs and services
• Infrastructure and DevOps (Docker, CI/CD, cloud)
• Blockchain and Solana fundamentals
• Rust or TypeScript proficiency
