Founding Engineer

About this role

TierZero is building AI agents that automate operational workflows for engineering teams, freeing them from incident response, support requests, and monitoring to focus on building. As a founding engineer, you'll develop core agentic systems, ML pipelines, and full-stack features working directly with experienced founders and enterprise customers.

What you'll do

• Design and implement AI agent systems that reason about unstructured data from code, infrastructure, and telemetry
• Build full-stack features with direct customer feedback and iterate rapidly
• Develop ML pipelines including data ingestion, embeddings, RAG, vector search, and graph databases
• Create systems to evaluate and improve LLM outputs through feedback loops and self-play
• Prototype and evaluate open-source and frontier LLMs for production use
• Enhance product usability and trust so agents are practical for engineering teams
