Human Data Solutions Engineer

About this role

Encord seeks a Human Data Solutions Engineer to bridge technical sales and data operations, guiding enterprise prospects through proof-of-concept workflows. You'll design annotation strategies, deliver high-quality sample datasets, and translate complex AI requirements into compelling client outcomes, with a focus on robotics and autonomous driving.

What you'll do

• Lead technical discovery sessions with ML engineers and stakeholders to understand data requirements and design annotation workflows
• Own end-to-end POC delivery—translating AI requirements into annotation instructions, auditing quality, and iterating until client-ready
• Partner with Account Executives on enterprise sales strategy and proof-of-concept execution
• Build tailored demonstrations combining platform capability with live annotation results for robotics, autonomous driving, and multimodal sensor data
• Advise clients on annotation workflow design, data quality, and operational processes that impact model performance
• Channel customer feedback to Product and Engineering teams to inform product roadmap decisions

What they're looking for

• Python or SQL for data querying and workflow automation
• Technical fluency with ML pipelines and data infrastructure
• Hands-on experience with annotation quality assurance and data operations
• Cloud platform proficiency (GCP, AWS, or Azure)
• Structured, consulting-style problem-solving and execution
• Strong communication with both technical and non-technical audiences
• Complex multi-stakeholder project management
• Experience with computer vision, LiDAR, or autonomous driving datasets (bonus)
