Audio Visual Commissioning Engineer
About this role
EOS IT Solutions seeks an experienced AV Commissioning Engineer to lead the testing, configuration, and optimization of complex audio-visual systems for enterprise clients. You'll work cross-functionally to ensure systems meet quality standards through hands-on commissioning, calibration, troubleshooting, and end-user training.
What you'll do
- Test, configure, and integrate AV components including displays, projectors, audio processors, and control systems on-site
- Calibrate audio and video systems for optimal performance in levels, resolution, and color accuracy
- Program and implement AV control systems using platforms like Crestron, Extron, or Biamp
- Troubleshoot technical issues and validate signal flow across all AV components
- Document configuration settings and commissioning results; provide training to end-users
- Collaborate with designers and project teams to review specifications and optimize system performance

- AV protocols and standards (HDMI, HDBaseT, Dante, AES67)
- Crestron, Extron, Biamp, or QSC control platforms
- Calibration techniques and testing tools (signal generators, analyzers)
- Troubleshooting and diagnostic problem-solving
- Technical communication and documentation
- AV hardware knowledge and signal flow understanding
- Control system programming and GUI customization (desirable)
