About this role

EOS IT Solutions seeks an experienced Network Implementation Engineer for a 12-month contract role in San Francisco to lead network infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and modernization efforts. You'll work across switching, firewalls, re-IP projects, and documentation while coordinating with internal teams and external vendors to improve reliability and operational support.

What you'll do

  • Support switching and firewall upgrades and enterprise routing/switching environment management
  • Lead network re-IP activities, core network services implementation, and infrastructure assessments
  • Manage rack, cabling, and physical network infrastructure improvements
  • Maintain infrastructure inventory, documentation, and monitoring system integration
  • Troubleshoot network and firewall connectivity issues independently
  • Coordinate technical work across internal teams and external vendors

  • Enterprise routing and switching (Cisco platforms preferred)
  • Network upgrades, migrations, and re-IP project execution
  • Firewall troubleshooting and configuration (Palo Alto Networks experience valued)
  • Physical network infrastructure and cabling systems
  • SNMP monitoring and infrastructure alerting
  • IPAM platform management
  • Network automation or scripting basics
  • Change management and structured migration processes
