Network Implementation Engineer
About this role
EOS IT Solutions seeks an experienced Network Implementation Engineer for a 12-month contract role in San Francisco to lead network infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and modernization efforts. You'll work across switching, firewalls, re-IP projects, and documentation while coordinating with internal teams and external vendors to improve reliability and operational support.
What you'll do
- Support switching and firewall upgrades and enterprise routing/switching environment management
- Lead network re-IP activities, core network services implementation, and infrastructure assessments
- Manage rack, cabling, and physical network infrastructure improvements
- Maintain infrastructure inventory, documentation, and monitoring system integration
- Troubleshoot network and firewall connectivity issues independently
- Coordinate technical work across internal teams and external vendors
What they're looking for
- Enterprise routing and switching (Cisco platforms preferred)
- Network upgrades, migrations, and re-IP project execution
- Firewall troubleshooting and configuration (Palo Alto Networks experience valued)
- Physical network infrastructure and cabling systems
- SNMP monitoring and infrastructure alerting
- IPAM platform management
- Network automation or scripting basics
- Change management and structured migration processes
