Gameplay Programmer

About this role

Epic Games seeks a Gameplay Programmer to develop musical gameplay features for their next project. You'll collaborate with designers and artists to prototype innovative gameplay mechanics, optimize systems across platforms, and mentor fellow engineers in a fast-paced, iterative environment.

What you'll do

• Develop and iterate on gameplay features in collaboration with design and art teams
• Prototype new mechanics and respond to critical feedback during iteration cycles
• Architect technical solutions that balance design vision with engineering requirements
• Optimize and debug existing gameplay systems for quality across supported platforms
• Write maintainable, robust code and mentor other engineers on technical approaches
• Lead engineering efforts on future gameplay features
