Junior Software Engineer, Full-Stack

About this role

Epic Kids seeks a Junior Full-Stack Software Engineer to join their remote, US-based team building a digital reading platform for children. This entry-level role focuses on learning foundational engineering practices while implementing features across Angular, PHP/Symfony, Go, and MySQL under senior mentorship.

What you'll do

• Build front-end features and UI components using Angular and TypeScript
• Develop back-end endpoints in PHP (Symfony) and Go, working with MySQL databases
• Debug and fix issues across the full stack with guidance from senior engineers
• Write unit tests and maintain code quality across touched areas
• Participate in code reviews as author and reviewer
• Collaborate with designers and product managers to ship user-facing features
