Fraud Engineer (Scam Hunter)

About this role

Ether.fi, a $10B+ crypto company, seeks a technical Fraud Engineer to build and own real-time fraud detection systems across their financial products and credit card program. You'll hunt sophisticated scams, develop detection rules, and create tools to protect users while working closely with engineering and customer teams.

What you'll do

• Design and build real-time fraud monitoring, alerting, and automated mitigation systems
• Identify and investigate emerging threats like cashback farming, card testing, and money laundering
• Develop fraud rules, behavioral signals, and scoring logic to detect anomalous activity
• Create internal dashboards and scripts to improve team efficiency
• Define fraud strategy and operational playbooks that scale with business growth
• Collaborate with cross-functional and external partners on fraud risk mitigation
