Security Engineer

About this role

Everlaw seeks a Security Engineer to strengthen its technical security operations and protect sensitive customer data used in high-profile litigation cases. You'll handle incident response, manage cloud security tools, develop security processes, and collaborate across teams to build a secure platform while maintaining a balanced approach that enables innovation.

What you'll do

• Triage and respond to security incidents, containing threats and guiding recovery
• Manage and tune AWS security services (IAM, Security Hub, GuardDuty, Config)
• Develop security processes, procedures, and runbooks to scale with company growth
• Conduct threat modeling, security design reviews, and code/configuration assessments
• Strengthen threat detection and response systems for cloud infrastructure and platform services
• Collaborate with engineering and security teams to identify vulnerabilities and manage risk

• Python or other scripting languages
• Linux environment navigation
• Security tools (vulnerability scanners, HIDS/NIDS, SIEM/SOAR platforms)
• Vulnerability management and detection
• Web application security (OWASP Top 10)
• Technical communication and threat modeling
