About this role

Extreme Networks is seeking an early-career Test Engineer to support production testing and qualification of networking equipment across switching, routing, wireless, and cloud platforms. You'll work hands-on with test fixtures, debug failures, and contribute to manufacturing improvements while learning from senior engineers at the Salem, NH office with 3 days per week on-site requirement.

What you'll do

  • Develop, bring-up, and qualify production test stations (ICT, FCT, SLT) under senior engineer guidance
  • Write and maintain test scripts in Python, LabVIEW, TestStand, or proprietary frameworks
  • Debug failing units using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, and protocol-specific tools
  • Participate in NPI builds (EVT/DVT/PVT) with data capture and issue documentation
  • Analyze production test data to identify yield issues and recurring failure modes
  • Support fixture deployment to global ODM partner sites with remote and occasional on-site troubleshooting

  • I2C/SPI/UART communication protocols
  • Network test tools and troubleshooting
  • Technical documentation and written communication
  • Problem-solving and root cause analysis
  • Linux command line (preferred)
