About this role

fairlife seeks a Warehouse Automation Engineer to oversee technical operations of advanced warehouse systems, including high-density storage and automated guided vehicles. This role involves managing controls integrations, equipment optimization, maintenance strategies, and leading training initiatives in a fast-paced dairy manufacturing environment.

What you'll do

  • Optimize warehouse automation equipment including AS/RS and LGVs in partnership with OEM and operations teams
  • Manage WCS integrations with ERP systems, line management systems, and reporting tools
  • Oversee OEM embedded engineers and establish improvement steering committees
  • Lead training on automation equipment operation, troubleshooting, alarm management, and safety
  • Develop and maintain automation documentation including schematics, PLC programs, and control logic designs
  • Troubleshoot and improve warehouse control systems through advanced process control and interface optimization

What they're looking for

  • PLC programming on Rockwell platforms
  • Warehouse automation systems (Electric 80 preferred)
  • VFD and servo drive integration
  • P&ID and CAD/SolidWorks documentation
  • HMI and SCADA systems
  • ERP systems and data analysis
  • Manufacturing automation (8-10 years required)
  • Project management and cross-functional team leadership
