About this role
fairlife seeks a Warehouse Automation Engineer to oversee technical operations of advanced warehouse systems, including high-density storage and automated guided vehicles. This role involves managing controls integrations, equipment optimization, maintenance strategies, and leading training initiatives in a fast-paced dairy manufacturing environment.
What you'll do
- Optimize warehouse automation equipment including AS/RS and LGVs in partnership with OEM and operations teams
- Manage WCS integrations with ERP systems, line management systems, and reporting tools
- Oversee OEM embedded engineers and establish improvement steering committees
- Lead training on automation equipment operation, troubleshooting, alarm management, and safety
- Develop and maintain automation documentation including schematics, PLC programs, and control logic designs
- Troubleshoot and improve warehouse control systems through advanced process control and interface optimization
What they're looking for
- PLC programming on Rockwell platforms
- Warehouse automation systems (Electric 80 preferred)
- VFD and servo drive integration
- P&ID and CAD/SolidWorks documentation
- HMI and SCADA systems
- ERP systems and data analysis
- Manufacturing automation (8-10 years required)
- Project management and cross-functional team leadership
