About this role

Figure is seeking a Hardware Reliability Engineer to drive design reliability and validate humanoid robots against lifetime specifications. You'll develop test plans, execute accelerated life tests, lead failure analysis, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure robust products for home and commercial markets.

What you'll do

  • Define hardware reliability specs and validation methods based on product use cases
  • Lead DFMEA efforts to identify design risks and mitigation strategies
  • Develop and execute accelerated life tests for materials, modules, and complete systems
  • Collaborate with test engineers on custom test fixtures and instrumentation
  • Manage reliability testing across internal teams and supplier sites
  • Conduct physics-based and statistical analysis on test failures to provide recommendations

  • Accelerated life testing methodology (thermal, vibration, shock, load cycling)
  • Data analysis software (Weibull++, JMP, or equivalent)
