About this role
Figure is seeking a Hardware Reliability Engineer to drive design reliability and validate humanoid robots against lifetime specifications. You'll develop test plans, execute accelerated life tests, lead failure analysis, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure robust products for home and commercial markets.
What you'll do
- Define hardware reliability specs and validation methods based on product use cases
- Lead DFMEA efforts to identify design risks and mitigation strategies
- Develop and execute accelerated life tests for materials, modules, and complete systems
- Collaborate with test engineers on custom test fixtures and instrumentation
- Manage reliability testing across internal teams and supplier sites
- Conduct physics-based and statistical analysis on test failures to provide recommendations

- Accelerated life testing methodology (thermal, vibration, shock, load cycling)
- Data analysis software (Weibull++, JMP, or equivalent)
