Figure, an AI robotics company developing humanoid robots, seeks a Systems Integration Engineer to oversee actuator deployment and performance across mechanical, electrical, controls, and software teams. This role involves hands-on debugging, control tuning, testing automation, and end-to-line bring-up to ensure robust, high-performance actuation systems.
What you'll do
- Collaborate on system-level actuator deployment, interfaces, and robot-level performance
- Define and execute design-validation and production-scale test plans with documentation
- Integrate sensing and feedback systems into real-time control architectures
- Develop real-time diagnostic algorithms and fallback strategies
- Debug mechanical, electrical, and software integration issues using diagnostic tools
- Tune controllers, conduct system identification, and build test automation infrastructure

- Robotic and electromechanical systems design (5+ years)
- MATLAB and Python programming
- Sensor integration and control tuning
- Mechanics, kinematics, controls, dynamics, and sensor technologies
- Linux-based development and C++ code reading
- Lab equipment operation and instrumentation

- CAD proficiency (bonus)
