About this role
Figure is seeking a Systems Integration Engineer to integrate dexterous hand subsystems into humanoid robots, working across mechanical, electrical, controls, and software teams. This role requires bringing up robotic hands from prototype through production deployment, with responsibility for calibration, validation, and real-time control integration.
What you'll do
- Integrate multi-DOF robotic hands with the humanoid control stack and validate motion, sensing, and control at system level
- Develop and execute calibration strategies, design-validation plans, and end-of-line production test procedures
- Integrate position, torque, and tactile sensors into real-time control systems
- Debug mechanical, electrical, and software integration issues and identify root causes
- Collaborate with controls engineers to tune high-bandwidth controllers and characterize actuation performance
- Build automation scripts, test dashboards, and diagnostic tools to streamline testing and data collection
