Software Engineer

About this role

FT Partners seeks a Software Engineer to develop and maintain FT Base, a mission-critical internal platform built with Python, Django, React, and PostgreSQL that powers company operations globally. The ideal candidate combines traditional software engineering expertise with strong AI-assisted development skills and a commitment to building stable, scalable systems.

What you'll do

• Develop and improve features for FT Base, an internal project management and data application suite
• Build new functionality and refactor existing code to maintain system quality and reduce technical debt
• Review and help secure applications prototyped outside the engineering department
• Provide recommendations on project progression, including growth, simplification, and system alignment
• Maintain documentation and test coverage to ensure application stability
• Collaborate with team members to translate business requirements into sustainable software solutions

• API design and development

• AI prompt-driven development with code verification ability
• Django and Django Rest Framework (preferred)
• AWS or cloud infrastructure (preferred)
